Dr.Anil B. Amin, a Histopathologist and a Cytopathologist with 40 yrs of experience in Human pathologist, started working in field of fish biology/ pathology in 1987. Since then, he has been providing diagnostic facilities using histology techniques to fish farming industry and teaching fish biology students at Bodø and Tromsø in Norway. Dr.Amin has participated in several research projects and published several articles. In 1991 Norwegian edition of “Histologisk Atlas” Normalstrukture hos Laksfisk was published for Norwegian students and fish biologists. Encouraged by the response to this atlas and suggestions from several colleagues he published International Edition in 1992 titled as “Histology Atlas” Normal structure of Salmonids, in English with English, German, French and Spanish legends, keeping in mind need of major fish farming nations in world. Atlas has since received wide support and keeping with technological advances decided to make atlas available through internet.
